Who remembers 1991 a certain Mr Warnock ,managing Notts County.Preventing us from the newly formed Premier league .Tomorrow is his last throw of the dice ,he will try every dirty trick in the book.Remember he is the enemy ,not Chris who’s integrity is a 100 times that of Mr Warnock.
When confidence is down things don’t go well ,so for this one match let’s give Chris and the players that confidence to go on and succeed. They deserve it for getting us to the promised land where others have failed.
Stand or Fall

He did a pretty good job for Notts County that day, iirc.

Of course, he was only picking up from where two of Brighton's most successful old boys - Jimmy Sirrel and Howard Wilkinson - left off. If he leaves the Amex tomorrow night with his head held high after a gallant defeat in a great game of football I would be well pleased - for him and for us!

They also deserve our support for doing Palace for 6 Premier League points and serving up an FA Cup Semi.

Anyone not planning on being fully behind our boys and manager really needs to consider whether they’re needed or wanted at the Amex tomorrow.

Forget payback for 1991, I want payback for Cardiff beating us with a goal that was more offside than the one they recently conceded against Chelsea ! If that had been rightly disallowed we’d be 8 points clear of them now.

Warnock has scored against us before
He was on the radio earlier and said he likes coming down to Brighton
Apparently game was at the Goldstone when he was playing for Rotherham
He said did a mazey run from the halfway line and rounded a couple of players before slotting home although eventually lost

Warnock is a grumpy old b*stard, but I kind of like him for that. His interviews are INFINITELY more watchable than the respectful, repetitive snoozefests of a Hughton post-match analysis. Would I want him as manager ? Nope. But at least he speaks his mind, and doesn't endlessly talk in boring Maybot-esque soundbites. Much like Mick McCarthy, he just does't give a shit any more. I don't have a problem with that.

Some of us may combust before the goal if it's that close. Can't we just score early, and then keep scoring?

Don’t respect any manager who did what he did in the Battle of Bramall Lane - it’s not just in his dotage, he’s always been a cheating ****!

That defeat by Notts County left me much more deflated than our other two defeats at Wembley. We had the team capable of winning but Warnock and his tactics was the difference. Really hoping it’s not dejavu tonight

If they get a corner when it should have been a goal kick I will be bricking it when the kick is taken :lolol:

Oh and watch out for “injured” players slowing the game down whenever we look like getting on top. The time wasting if they go ahead is a given.

Everywhere
For many many years I had an irrational hatred for all things Notts County and thus Neil Warnock. Not only the play off game but an ill feted trip up there on new years day 91. We lost 2-1 but we also broke down 3 times in a clapped out Ford escort on the way home.

This.
We were crap in 91 and deserved to lose that game.

Agree. I was gutted by that 1991 performance. We seemed to go out with a whimper (even if we had just snuck into the playoffs).

Let’s do this thing and put the whole relegation thing, and this season, to bed.

I have no love for Warnock, he is a whiney grumpy conniving piece of crap. As the OP says, expect lots of shenanigans and dodgy goings on, not looking forward to tonight.

All available evidence suggests the answer will be no so scraping an edgy scrappy win by a controversial goal is probably the best we can hope for. Strap in!
