I even had the hotel provisionally booked, so I can imagine how you are feeling right now, hence my original post to the OP (my wife did not want me to go as we are doing family stuff tomorrow due to us being abroad over the xmas break, so she was happy )

Thanks! The only saving grace is that my wife (also a ST holder) decided not to come last minute as she wants to go to a horse show in Liverpool tomorrow. I'm not sure I could have taken her grumpiness on top of my own.
