For me, in my 60's, where's the  poll option ?

My kids, in their late twenties would probably prefer a  poll option

So, 'my 12year old daughter last night, who could not believe this was allowed at anytime to be on tv' sounds about right for a well balanced 12 year old

Can be looked at in two ways without outrage.

First that it is cringeworthy. It was then and it is now. Back in 2002 I was watching stuff like that and thought it was pathetic stereo-typing. Not 'outraged' just felt it was bit embarrassing.

Secondly, it's not meant to be taken seriously and shows how pathetic some people are in life with their attitudes towards women.

Either way, I'm happy such advertisements are gone. But only so I don't have to cringe. When I was growing up we had far worse than that.

Ignoring the gender stuff, it is a f***ing shite marketing campaign. I bet sales would have been no different it was 'not for red sea pedestrians'.

I showed this advert to my 12year old daughter last night, who could not believe this was allowed at anytime to be on tv.
My wife remembers the advert, and thinks although it is funny, is now gladly a thing of the past.
Me I think it’s funny, and probably because I’m a white heterosexual 50 plus male, don’t really think beyond that, I guess that’s wrong.

Is this a timeless harmless funny advert ?
or an embarrassment that quite rightly a thing of the past.

It’s not pc but that doesn’t stop it being funny . It’s fairly harmless

Bear baiting, cock fighting, and public executions - hanging, beheading and burning - were considered harmless good all round family entertainment in their time.

For some bizarre reasons, they are not today.

I sometimes find the antediluvian attitudes of many on this board highly depressing

Some of us remember when viewers of this very website would be offered savage fights between animals as entertainment. Time moves on and we're sorry for all the mantis shrimp that died* for sport at the paws of honey badgers.

* - very easily.

If you ignore the cringeworthy idea that their chocolate bar is too tough or something for women, I think its a clever and funny ad. Wouldn't be made today.

If anyone feels guilty and uncomfortable watching this advert which was a bit of fun then I genuinely feel nothing but sorrow for you.

Looking for something to feel offended or upset by is a new pastime to many and it’s sad really.

Say everything does change and all 7 billion people share exactly the same liberal left culture cancelling woke ways of thinking (spoiler: will never happen)? What then remains to scream for a police person(!)? Will there be any need for the police therefore? And what ever happened to the cup final money?

Please nobody google the Robertson's jam adverts of the mid 20th Century who hasn't seen them before. Your head will probably explode
