Back from Rushden v Peterbrough gave out over 500 leaflets and about 50 letters signed ready to post off both sets of fans were top plenty of surport .
programme had a half page piece and were well looked after by all the club officials & stewards.

Saw Seagull over leicester doing excellent work outside the ground with his nipper - right by club shop with a special kiosk thingy as well.

Handed out loads of leaflets in the hospitality lounge and had a qucik word with Brian Mawhinney who said that he had regular contact with DK and that Prescott was well aware of his views on the issue.

Programme piece was excellent - Diamonds were crap and Posh were full value for their 1-0 win.

They let one of us stand at the car park gates and hand leaflets out with parking tickets to each car that came in .... brill guys and thanks - even if I didn't understand everything you said!

Major signalling problem just outside Berwick meant I was stuck in Edinburgh for the afternoon. Very frustrating but glad you (and others) did such great work.

Just back from Bournemouth. Shafted loads fo leaflets (400+) and people were very positive and friendly bar a couple. One Wycombe fan had a massive go at me - winging how we'd cost them money at the sit-in etc. Stewards were friendly and one even signed a letter. Steve Cotterill was there and signed a letter to Prescott. Another BHA fan there with a stall got loads fo letters signed. A full page in the programme. Really great stuff because both sets of fans were very very supportive and wished us luck.

Swindon 2 Brentford 1

I got to the ground circa 1.15pm, having walked from the station with a couple of Brentford fans, who (having clearly got to the ground much earlier than they expected), assisted me in giving out leaflets for a good half hour or so. I have to say the feedback was fantastic - Swindon devoted a whole page to the Falmer issue in their programme, which was a great help explaining what I was doing. Gave out 400 leaflets, and only got abuse from about half a dozen or so Swindon "fans". The vast majority were surprisingly interested, and quite a few found it amusing that a Brighton fan was attending a Swindon/Brentford game. At least 20 or so seemed VERY clued up on what was happening - indeed, the level of knowledge was much higher than that I experienced when leafletting at the Clock Tower. At least 25 or so Swindon fans actually said that Brighton was their second team, and they always looked out for our result. With it being just me, I was unable to give out leaflets AND get names/postcodeds for the post card thing, but at half time I did a tour of my section of the stdand, and got about 30 or so names of Swindon residents for Tim Carder.
How many Swindon fans take up their pens and write remains to be seen, but I certainly have a MUCH higher regard for them than I had a few days ago - it really is FANS UNITED.

Oh, by the way - got the cold shoulder from the Brentford youth team who turned up in a minibus, but couldn't be arsed to take any leaflets. Their goalkeeping coach DID however, take a leaflet. The Grimsby scout was also there (good bloke - Grimsby playing Swindon in a week or so), and he took a leaflet.

Me, Desert Orchid, Trish, Verily I Say..., Superphil, Superwife and 3 other Albion fans went to AFC Wimbledon v Cobham today. 2 of those fans took away the letters they collected, but the other 7 collected more than 300 letters at the ground and these will be passed on to Tim Carder this evening or tomorrow. Others will no doubt act later on the requests in the 2,000 leaflets we gave out.

Response was predictably great. Wimbledon won 5-1 - nice to see a few goals for a change! - and it was a very enjoyable afternoon apart from the rain and hail soaking we got for 20 minutes.

Thanks to all of those who helped us out.

The three of us, Gloster Girl ( Sally), Kylie's Stunt Arse (Dan) and Moi, Gloster, set off to Whaddon Road, Cheltenham and arrived just after 1.30ish. Rosey, the parking steward, was on the car park gate and was expecting us. We had just parked when we were approached by western daily press reporter who said he would contact me for a story. it was a bit cold so I left Gloster Girl and KSA to hand out leaflets outside along with the clever business cards that i downloaded (I printed about 1,500 - and most went - the rest I left at Tescos!) I went into the club bar! The response was awsome most know of our plight and were happy to support the cause. "Wow youve come along way then!"

We then got our "Staff" passes and were escorted round the ground to our seats.
The match was very entertaining the ref was giving some funny decisions, as they do. 3 goals later just before half time it was 2-1 to Lincoln. Half time I walked around the ground and was let in with the lincoln supporters a few were there at the Goldstone! Again received very well.

Lincoln down to 10 men it was a bit off a battle and Chelt deserved at least a draw. At one stage someone shouted "Seagulls, Seagulls!" and it wasn't us 3! 4 minutes to go Chelt scored 2-2 the crowd got behind them and in the last minute Chelt got the winner! Just time to kick off when the ref blew for full time!

We walked back to the front and got our photo taken. Gloster Girl and KSA went back to the car and I thought I would go up to the players bar and boxes. Which I did! Again was greeted well as I handed out letters and postcards then I went down a corridor that said "Strictly No Entry - Directors Only" I knocked and entered ,err, I handed out leaflets and thanked the Chairman! I left and thought this was too good to miss so I went back for the camera and went back in! "Oh youre back said the Chairman and I asked if I could have a phot with him! We smiled and said Cheese! A result all round! I shall post the photos on Monday!

Four of us were at Bury.

We started off in the Social Club (beer poor so we drank the Guiness), talking to people as they came in, handing out leaflets, and collecting names and postcodes for the postcards. Most people were very supportive (even the Orient fans).

Then we moved outside to catch people as they went in the ground.

At half-time we were allowed to walk round the ground with a We Want Falmer Banner, and again received good support, apart from the away end who predictably gave us some stick.

I have some pictures which I will post as soon as I have found somewhere to host them. (I assume I can't post them from my harddrive).

The game was fairly poor, and it was bitterly cold, but I quite enjoyed the experience.

Just back from Oxford.

We had a good reception from both sets of fans. By 2.55 we'd run out of letters and pretty much run out of leaflets.

I was amazed by the knowledge that the Oxford fans had about the Falmer situation. I think it helped that they'd had similar problems with Nimbys with their stadium, but there was a general feeling of goodwill to all us. There was one guy (who looked like he'd stepped off the Chavscum website) who tore up a leaflet in front of me but he was a rare exception. Many people promised to write, some said they had already written, some offered me money; all heart-warming stuff.

Not so much joy from the club. No mention in the programme and I was told to take off my stripes before I went into the ground (think Biscuit got the chairman to sign a letter though).

The game itself wasn't too great, although it improved in the second half. A draw would have been a fair result, but fair play to Huddersfield who hung on for a 1-0 win.

Steele looks overweight and Paul McCarthy has lost what pace he had. Andy Crosby looks solid enough though.

It was a fantastic experience and really encouraging to know how much support we had.

Hope my interview came out OK. I was still handing out the last of my leaflets so I might have sounded a bit distracted. Good one though Hawesy.

Cheshunt Seagull - Hope you managed to catch the right person. Collyer, the Inspector on Albion's Inquiry is a Woking fan who attends all home games and some away games. Would be great if he got a leaflet.

One of my mates, who is an AFC Wimbledon fan living in Exeter, went to the game today. I got a text from him just before kick off saying he had seen the Brighton fans and had signed up!

WE SURVIVED!

Just back from Selhurst.

Collected Edna from Burgess Hill and got to the ground about 1.30pm, where we dragged Gosling away from his pint in the Glaziers.

A quick call to Rob Fox who is the matchday announcer - and the next thing we know Edna is on Palace Radio, fending off difficult questions from the resident comedians like a pro.

We then met up with Lolly, friend Sam (Palace) and Royal Ali and Sam (Reading), covered up our shirts to get past the bouncers and went into the Clifton Arms. Then it was off to Holmesdale Road to start collecting signatures, "Save The Seaweed" T-shirts to the fore.

And everyone...was really very nice!! We got about 160 letters signed and handed out leaflets, and everyone was really keen to see us survive, saying it wouldn't be the same with us as rivals. There were a few "no's" and "you're 'avin a laughs" but not many.

Gosling started his spiel, with "I'm a Palace fan, but I want Brighton to get their ground..." he was an absolute star, as were Royal Ali and his sister and Lolly and her Palace-supporting mate.

We went into the ground at about 2.50pm, mainly to avoid the nutters just coming out of the pubs, and got more letters signed and more support from the Reading fans.

Entertaining game, with two poor defences. Palace will be gutted to draw IMHO. Brooker didn't get on the pitch. Ivar played well, as did Sidwell.

Good spiel about National Falmer Day over the tannoy at half-time from Rob Fox, but nothing in the programme

With more people and more time we could have got thousands of letters signed IMHO. Everyone was so supportive.

Keep the faith guys - we WILL get Falmer.

Had a great day, bumped into a few Brighton fans and we made a good impact i hope. there about 12 of us (well done to everyone) and we managed to get rid of about 2000 flyers and about 100 letters.

saw mr zamora outside the ground but he was "in a rush", but fear not, about 20 mins later.......


i only met geoff hurst of world cup hatrick and winning fame.

i had a great photo taken with him. will be published tomorrow properly when got time to re size it.
