The best time is after midnight up to 4am when we pass right through the Perseids. There should be as many as 60-100 in an hour. Look in the north east.Was quite a great sight. Just incredible how fast it goes across the sky in comparison to planes that you see, and how bright it is......Haven't been able to see any meteors though!

So I need to be outside in an hour? I am right on the seafront. Will I get a good view of it. if I head down to the beach?
Have been looking just to the right (east) of Perseus but with not a great deal of luck. Will try in 45 mins or so
