That route looks awesome, would love to do that trip. That northern part of Turkey looked stunning when I flew over it a couple of weeks back, all mountains and loads of snow

It really does. Obviously I posted it as a joke but now I'm looking at it with a kind of longing. I've already got the whole week booked off work...

But I imagine the negotiations with car hire companies about insurance would be tricky. And no amount of Pro Plus would get me back in time for the Forest match on Sunday.

There's a Grand Tour episode where Clarkson, May and Hammond do the Georgia - Azerbaijan leg of that route, from the Black Sea to Baku on the Caspian, and it looked rather marvellous.

I just went onto skyscanner.net now, London to Baku via Istanbul, out on the 6th, back on the 8th, Turkish airlines, £330 return.

Aren't Skyscammer a bit, well, creative with thier pricing ? ie, the price you see is about half what you actually pay because they scrape the lowest prices which are almost never available.

Watched bits and pieces of their game on the Europa League goals show on TNT3.

Won’t be any room in their end. Every seat / place taken and chants controlled by a mental looking Capo in a blue and white gimp mask. (Note to self, email PBOBE with new product range idea).
