Terry like the rest of us would love to see McSmudger score 20 to 30 goals this coming season as he states in his post.Lets hope he does if he stays, but i for one don`t think he will, he should move on while he still has a career as he obviously works hard and deserves success

Scored 14 goals for us at the age of 19/20, partnered well upfront with Barnes and Murray, scored 10 goals last season for Birmingham, 6'3 and used to our style, I think he'd be decent with the likes of Crofts and Vicente behind him.

Had one good season in the championship 6 years ago with reading and barely got past 12 goals in other seasons even in his prime,also injury prone.

Better to have no signing than Shitson signing,recruiting McSmudger was a mistake we all make them, signing shitson would be gross incompetance that cannot be forgiven

He's only young, I don't know so I can't really answer your question. But he is decent IMO, he's done well for us before.

You are right not many do,but a 20 plus goal scoring forward is generaly whats required to get promotion, Barnes has more chance of acheiving the 20 goal mark as long as he is played in position as striker,our team functions better when McSmudger is not playing .Barnes and Vicente seem to click somehow CMS does not fit in,wish he did but he doesn`t

Not sure why people dislike him, good goal scoring record, played at the highest level I believe. Is available on a free transfer. Bit like Peter crouch, every one assumes all he has is heading but surprisingly good with his feet.

The bloke is a thug. He was used to good effect as an impact player as he comes on and impacts with as many of the opposition players as he can before the ref spots him and cards him!
