@johnnycburger: Meeting of GP and #bhafc due in 15 mins. Spread bet on how long it will take would be interesting !
Lets be honest neither side looks great in this whatever the outcome and there are tough times ahead for both. Imagine how it will play out if we start badly which we could after this. Pro gus will be saying it would not have happened under him and the others will be blaiming him for causing this problem in the first place and delaying all close season. I do feel for the new manager he will be arriving at a difficult time with opinions divided and it will be him who gets my support whatever the fallout from today.
I don't think the fans have turned against gus in any great number. I think the majority who haven't turned yet are waiting to see what happens before jumping on him, but there is a vocal minority who are making the most noise at the moment, with many of them (thou not all) having been itching to have a reason to criticise him for a while.
If Gus goes, as seems inevitable, we'll never really know for sure how he would have got on this season. My feeling is that he's not a manager who will thrive under FFP, wherever he goes - at least at this level and slightly above.
Obviously I can only speak for myself but I was a massive fan of GP, what he had done for the club, the football we were playing (well, most of it - not the lack of a Plan B but I always understood and respected the defensive focus) eye etc. My admiration started to wane after the Reading affair, I was irritated by his comments about Leeds but I was shocked and angered by our performance against Palace and his comments after the game were the final straw. I now see him and his advisors playing brinkmanship with the club (although I can understand why his advisors are taking him down this line) in a way which seriously threatens our preparations for next season and I just want him out, away, nowhere near the place and as quickly as legally possible. My fear is that this will not be today and he will drag this on for a few more weeks in which case we could be seriously f**ked - if this happens I will simply just hate him.
Can anyone conjecture who will actually be at this meeting?
Didn't they say week last GP had turned down an offer ? They know nothing.
I was Gus all the way but then I heard his post match comments after the palace match. To be fair, it was his reaction that turned the fans in my opinion.
Apparently the meeting will take place away from The Amex. Maybe our promised land has become an away game for Gus?
Can anyone conjecture who will actually be at this meeting?
Same here. I was already traumatised by the outcome of that match (mainly the 2nd half) but that interview was the sh*t icing on a very cr@ppy cake.

Blimey Mo...you've put all my feelings into joined up writing. Spot-on and exactly rightGus clearly suffers from delusions of grandeur. Self confidence is one thing but this guy is on a different planet. The amount of clubs he has been linked to is eye-boggling...Chelsea, Everton, Wigan, Fulham, Reading, Wolves, Leeds...the list goes on. He has successfully courted the media to the extent that he is their new darling. Outside of BHA he is always being talked about. Neutrals say.." You've got a really good manager there...wish we had him "
So..right in the media spotlight and rated highly. There must be a queue of club chairmen out there salivating at the prospect of hiring this new, talented kid on the block. TB must be fighting them off. They all want to get their hands on this hot property.
Well....apparently not. Where is the rush to secure his services? We all thought we would be trampled in the stampede.
Has the penny dropped out there? Have enough seeds of doubt been sown to frighten people away? Is he not all he is cracked up to be? Perhaps the Emperor has no clothes after all. Has the incessant talking finally worn everyone down ( he wasn't nicknamed ' radio ' for nothing in his playing days ) Is he more empty vessel than luxury liner? Have eyes been opened by the comments of Vicente? Do we respect his judgement ( 38 full caps for Spain, 50+ representative honours, la Liga titles, legendary status at Valencia....decent club, after all )...clearly and simply doesn't rate the man. Has he got an axe to grind or should we take more notice of this man than anybody?
Time for Gus to take his next chance and prove he has what it takes.

Totally agree papa
Given as has been said by @beachhut and many others, it was known for a few months before he would be in his way irrespective of play offs, you can understand why some people at the club allegedly called the mood it caused 'facilitating'.
