It's Friday and the Albion don't have a match. How did that happen?

simple reason they want Cardiff to win so there is an extra day of celebration for the fans. This is their way of saying sorry by messing up so many peoples plans when they altered the dates/times of the matches

Nah. The reason is simple. With boxing likely to be the big sporting thing on Saturday, Sky decided that Friday evening would be dedicated to the major footballing event of the week ... the coronation of Newcastle United as champions of the EFL.

Kick-off times were set accordingly. Unfortunately the whole plan was sabotaged by a bunch of upstarts from the south coast, who contrived to make it impossible for the mighty Toon to play their part in what was intended to be a TV spectacular attracting a world-wide audience of BILLIONS.

Tough tittie, Sky.
