Certain parts defo are grim....but after living in the North and south......north wins for me everyday of the week.

Freindly and easier birds, low property prices........

Everyone yesterday laughing at the song and then driving back down south to their 1 bd flat thats 600 per month.

If you live in the right area up north...your sorted....

That chant started yesterday when the rain started torrenting down.

The steward standing next to us said if you think that its bad here, it was ten times worse in Bradford where he came from.

We don't all live in bedsits and our mortgage is less that a lot of people pay for rent.

Sorted? Not when you get homesick for Sussex.

Are you saying that football chancts are not neccesarily one hundred percent accurate?

You mean not every Brighton fan is gay? That's what all those mean away fans keep shouting at me every game. No wonder I can't get a decent man at the Withdean :cry::cry:

You mean to say that when you were a lad you didn't ask your mother whether you should be Brighton or Palace?

Next you'll be telling me your father didn't have a gun....

I'm shocked at these outrageous lies. Perhaps we ought to encourage people to chant more accurate things.

It would be nice to hear opposing fans sing "You're a town with a proportionately higher than average number of homosexuals living there but considering a lot move to Brighton from outside AND given the way that gay issues are treated by football generally the chances are that there's not a lot of gays in the stand and therefore the majority of you lot are heterosexually inclined".

Kinda catchy, n'est pas?

I like it up North. Not so many stuck up people, cheaper living costs, nice countryside, People are much, much friendlier. I love Sussex but it is way overpriced and the local councils are deceiptful, money grabbing, lazy bastards.

Suppose I'd better say IMHO and all that!

Try reading Private Eye and you'll change your views. Guaranteed. Some of the ways in which local councils are run (especially Northern councils) as personal fiefdoms is criminal...quite literally. Just take a look at Doncaster (known as Donnygate) or some of the Scottish ones.

Yes, quite right. Just a bit annoyed today with other people and therefore I am regarding anythnig in my immediate vicinity as crap and un-worthy! :)

In a pile of football shirts
I preferred some of the "offside" chants leveled at that linesman towards the end of the second half.

I'm now three weeks into the new job up in Leeds (still back in Gloucestershire at weekends until we all move up), and so far I quite like the place. Not sure I wanna live in Leeds itself, but some of the rental places I've looked at around wetherby etc have been really rather cheap and very nice, and the countryside is cracking. The "Alan Partridge-like" lifestyle I'm living in the hotel at the moment though is starting to do my head in a bit though!!! We'll see how it goes, but personally I don't think the north is any grimer than other parts of the country, each has its good and bad bits!

some of the Scottish ones.

To be fair, it's only really North Lanarkshire that's a problem (partly as a leftover from the days of Monklands District Council). Glasgow's quite bad, but not much worse than any other major city council. West Dunbartonshire is pretty bad, too. Outside of those, I can't think of any serious problems.

We're the offside, we're the offside, we're the offside Brighton boys.

Offside till we die, we're offside till we die. :D
