No comment from Gus or the club about the job at West Ham. Other managers linked with the job have already ruled themselves out, any reason to be concerned?

Haven't you got somebody with a handbag to abuse ?

no reason for concern

a) he hasn't been asked about the job by WHU because they know he won't be interested
b) he hasn't been asked about it by the press because they know he won't be interested

Gold and Sullivan sacked Zola as they didnt think he had the experience. what experience has Gus of Championship or Premiership management? bugger all. they will go with a manager with a track record in the Championship or Premiership, not up and coming prospects.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Honestly if Gus or the Board had to come out with a statement every time Gus gets linked with a job, we would be releasing a statement every week.

Get used to it. Thats what happens when you have a quality manager or player.

Shame for Micky Adams that he signed a contract at Port Vale as he fits the criteria. He's British and has a track record in the Premiership and Championship.

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan revealed earlier on Tuesday that the club were leaning towards the appointment of a British manager, meaning Poyet could be ruled out.

Fellow chairman David Gold has also said the club will wait for potential candidates to apply, and Poyet is adamant that is something he will not be doing.

which ties in with what was in the paper today about Allardyce, saying they want him to make the first move. they wont those interested to apply, not running a shortlist and approaching them. so unless Gus puts forward his CV, he wont be in the running. simples.

"I'd only really like to talk when there is an approach, or a possibility or where there is something really important."
[...]
"No chance," [Poyet] added. "I can promise I will never apply for a job during my time at another club, especially at a club like Brighton where I'm so happy to be.

can we drop it now.
