Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Watching on the telly box or listening on the steam radio to football commentary without a crowd.

No atmosphere, no sense of urgency, no tension, no celebration.

Just an arguably better standard of glorified pub game.

Artificial noise just makes it even less real.

Not sure I agree. I quite like the fake crowd noises.

And the arsenal game was hardly a glorified pub game it was bloody brilliant and I'm still buzzing.

I’m certain you have your reasons but I’ve noticed you have posted similar on several other threads, I think we get it that you don’t think the football should have restarted [emoji106] For many of us it’s just the tonic though.

Got to agree with the o.p.

No crowd, multi-subbing....it’s all a bit pre season friendly.

But it’s the money, innit?

You mean, Man City v Burnley?

A one-sided neutral game is shite under any circumstances.

Looks like Man City are putting in a shift despite the lack of atmosphere 5-0 at the moment, might have been a similar score with a full crowd. I E maybe the crowd doesn't influence the game as much as some people think.

I nearly always turn off the sound when watching palace games on the TV the song they sing over and over again gets on my nerves. Put some music on instead and continue to hope the opposing team wins.

Our game was the first one I watched. And by watched I mean had on in the background while listening to the radio and glancing up if anything exciting happened (which, to be fair, is how I usually watch our games on TV if it's not at the Amex).

I watched a bit more of the games on sunday, but didn't watch tonight's game.
