Not really. Footballs a rip off, you can’t POTG and it’s a saturated market coverage so much so that this threads a reminder it’s even on! Oh, and it’s not competitive either. Apart from that, watching England is an absolute JOY!

They don't half drag cricket out to be fair - 90 overs in 7 hours?

Totally different.Test Cricket is and alway has been a 5 day match.
We don't sell it to the yanks.
But we buy their sports.Ice hockey(Unlimited cage fighting) next?

They spent all this money on the stadium yet when England played around the country it was brilliant...remember England vs greece at old Trafford? Superb atmosphere. Granted Bex scored a genius goal, but I seem to remember that was a great game.

Rose-tinted specs I'm afraid. Apart from Beckham's super-human effort throughout the game it was a massive pile of ****. I re-watched it not too long ago.

Rubbish. 'Fewer foreigners' isn't the same as 'no foreigners'. Still, if you want to carry on supporting Brighton when we only have English players....................

It will be dire.

Want to be entertained not watch games like this every week

We were a lot better than we are now.
Not really, in world cups record is as follows:

1950 - didn't get out of the group (including being beaten by USA)
1954 - 1/4 finals
1958 - 1/4 finals
1962 - didn't get out of the group
1966 - winners
1970 - 1/4 finals
1974 - didn't qualify
1978 - didn't qualify
1982 - Got to second group stage - equivalent of 1/4 finals
1986 - 1/4 finals
1990 - Semi Final
1994 - didn't qualify
1998 - Round of 16
2002 - 1/4 final
2006 - 1/4 final
2010 - Round of 16
2014 - didn't get out of group

The only times that England have got beyond the 1/4 finals are 1966 - when England not only had a good team but also had the advantage of playing every game at Wembley and a very generous linesman - and 1990 when almost all England fans agreed, before the tournament, that the team were unbelievably shit (Tunisia 0 - England 0)...

Perhaps they could have announced two or three days ago that the rest of the seats were POTG at a reasonable price (plastic only, if they don't want the security problems of lugging around lorry-loads of cash). Key into the potential market of football fans who have never really bought into the modern world of loyalty points, and buying tickets on-line weeks before the match that you're not allowed to pass on to a mate if you can't go. Just a thought, like..............
