Catfish-Drinking-Beer-560x383.jpg

That's nothing , here's some more actually waiting for a drink of beer at a favorite catty watering hole , experts think that the hops and yeast used combined with fizziness create a irresistible tipple for Catfish , obviously Fosters doesn't work .

I'm sorry for being a bit stupid and taking the thread at face value. So we're meant to just come up with something daft that did nothing, right?

Cordless vacuum cleaner.
Bagless vacuum cleaner.
Cold air hand dryers.
So, anything Dyson.

What? Even the Ballbarrow?

:D

Electric blankets.

I understand there are some people who don't have one. I'm not sure how they survive.

I would never use one. I was considering one for my daughter when she was a baby our flat is freezing and soon learned that electricity and water (wee) really don't mix.

Only takes one accident when pissed or spilling a cup of water and that's it.

The Video Recorder.

Meant you could go out & not miss your favourite show!

Also, stopped arguments, when there were two shows on at same time - tho Mum would win that with her bloody Soap Operas LOL!

Hahah I love that. Although carrier pigeon is high bandwidth, the latency leaves a lot to be desired, so only good for transferring static information / files, rather than any sort of live communication. Although by the sounds of it, the broadband isn't any good at anything.

Well with the pigeon the upload speed is faster than the download Like I said things are somewhat better now though need to connect in some areas with line of sight microwave links

1 centre I worked for had to get some branches cut off a tree to get connected

Can't believe no one has mentioned this and I don't know what its' called, but the bit of string/ribbon thingy towards the end of a packet of biscuits that makes it SO much easier to open them. I recall it first being used in a dairylea cheese triangle which was absolutely amazing but then on the biscuits! Incredible.

I remember many a session of our family ridiculing someones inability to open biscuits and then failing themselves before these bad boys came along.

Edit: just mentioned to my children and can't fathom how a pack of biscuits would have been before. I've told them not to worry about it, just another example of how their snowflake lives are so much better as a result of our incredible generations advancements.
