Spinazzola out is a huge miss for the Italians and a major plus for us , he was the stand out player of the tournament for me .

Now is a perfect time to be playing Italy , I can't see them scoring at all so a comfortable 0-2 win will do nicely.

Let’s go … :drink::drink::drink::drink:

There are a quarter of a million Italians in Britain. And they'll be made to suffer. Every restaurant, cafe, ice-cream parlour, gambling den and nightclub in London, Liverpool and Glasgow, will be smashed. Mr Bridger will drive them into the sea.

They’ve hit some super strikes from outside the box this tournament. I think confronting those is Pickford strength though.

The wet lettuces have got their way preparing for the biggest game of his career and Southgate has to come out and ask fans not to boo the Italian anthem

The England fans inside Wembley will go all out with over the top booing now which will be amusing. I’m not surprised though any stick to beat England fans with is normal procedure.

They know it's going to happen, I don't understand why these softcocks don't pre-prepare a safe space for when the anthems are on. They know they're going to be offended one way or another, if it's not the booing it'll be the colonialism attached to GSTQ. They might as well stay there for the whole game in case the ref gives us a decision

Gormless to boo an anthem, it just inspires the opposition, apart from showing a total lack of class, but carry on

The Italian anthem goes on for frigging ages. The crescendo of boos and whistles by the time it ends will be deafening.

No opinion on booing NAs (it's only pantomime ffs) but I hate GSTQ because it is utterly crap, not an English NA, boring, deferential royalist dirge and frankly ignores a rump of the population who want nothing to do with royalty or religion. Time it was binned off. I'd happily boo it, just not today.

I respect your right to boo our own anthem! :lolol:

Whatever people think about the tune or the Queen, I've always maintained that when you're in the stadium and everyone is belting out GSTQ at full volume it does sound bloody good. It definitely sounds better speeded up acapella.

Just hope we play well. If we are good and they are better, fair enough, but please let our team/squad perform

Is this thread broken for anyone else?

Whenever I hit 'go to first new post' it takes me to post 1. Then triggers a privacy check.

Agreed.

I think this is about as close as you can get to a true 50:50 game. Teams are very evenly matched and play a similar style. The only big advantage either way England's bench IMHO, which is ridiculously strong.

I just hope people don't start moaning when it's not all action end to end football, it won't be that type of game for at least 70 mins. I expect a disciplined defensive game from both sides at the start.

It’s tournament watchers who have jumped on the bandwagon. It wasn’t a problem until Germany, and as for inspires the other team we haven’t lost the electric atmosphere at Wembley is a big plus for the lads.

Another one that grates is softies wanting the other home nations to do well in tournaments despite all of them having a pathological hate for England

Win-win.

Italy lose and it'll be fine with their tradition of boring football. England lose and the tradition of England losing will continue. If someone forced me to cheer for one of them teams I'd go with England though. What I think will happen is that it will be 0-0 or 1-1 and penalties and... well, sorry.

Whatever happens today, it’ll show the next England generation they’re not just at tournaments to make up the numbers. They CAN achieve glory if they want it enough.
