To be fair, and this is not criticism of you in any way, what the hell does that even mean?

It's nothing to do with a chance as a percentage. It's not an exact science in anyway.

If they say it's odds of 8/1 as provided by a bookie then thats fine. That doesn't mean it's a 12% "CHANCE".
