Chelsea in the next round, the stand will be full of people I have never seen before who don't care for brighton, like it did when we played Arsenal. League is more important for me.

a) Hopefully CH has seen further evidence of who doesn't cut it from tonights performance - which could positively influence the last week of the transfer window.
b) The team won't get distracted by an ultimately pointless glamour tie

I've often wondered how far reaching the effect is when distanced from its source. Last Saturday I walked past some Albion fans on the way home from work (I wasn't at the game). There is every chance that if I had taken a different route the pattern of play may have been different.

The biggest question is whether, when totally disconnected from an environment, one's movements can still have an effect. Fascinating stuff, well for a philosophical old bore like me.

It's more than a shame. I dunno what the amounts are, but there would have been a decent payment for a win tonight and all the TV and other revenue from the next round. I do care, and so do lots of 'the supporters' . In fact I feel pretty badly let down. Probably, though, not as much as Tony Bloom who bankrolls all this...

Hear, hear, it's like a lottery win and these days, you have got to be pretty stupid to allow such a payday to slip through your hands.
Plastic supporters or not, they still have to buy tickets, pies, beer etc.
This loss was incredibly bad for business, all competitions should be taken seriously.
Finishing mid table, with a couple of decent cup runs under your belt, would soften the blow of not getting promoted and personally I think we should be fielding the strongest team for all games.
Reserve games should be used for training games.
