All clubs have dick head fans. I think it’s best to focus on the conduct of the actual club owners and management. Liverpool have conducted themselves well, as have most EPL clubs to be fair. All the need to know about Leeds is in the opening post.

This.

I’ve seen and heard plenty from Burnley, Palace and SheffUfd fans, bitching about disingenuous Brighton, Watford and West Ham trying to slyly avoid relegation by sabotaging restart attempts every step of the way.

It’s just the bitchiness of UK football fans, going by spiteful NSC threads over the last three years, we’re masters of the art too.

"For Leeds United the breath-taking speed of our breakaway play should make us the poster boys of social distancing and I have absolute faith in Luke Ayling’s ability to choreograph some Covid compatible goal celebrations."

I thought that line was some sort of creative editing by the OP as we often enjoy on NSC, but no the Leeds CEO actually said those words, probably with zero sense of irony either.

To be fair Luke Ayling looks like his idea of social distancing would be shouting at pigeons at the local park drinking out a 3ltr bottle of White Lightening.

Fair Enough Leeds. The Championship is the third best supported league in Europe. It would be a national embarrassment if you didn't complete your season. In other words, we will you will.

Longer this goes on, the less anybody cares

This. I really have reached the point now where I've stopped listening to and reading anything that concerns football restarting (apart from this thread obviously).

If, when and how it restarts I'm really not bothered. I shan't enjoy football again until such time as we have 30,000 at The Amex. Yes, if it restarts behind closed doors, as seems likely, I'll probably watch our games on the tellybox, but have a feeling I will get bored quite quickly and may not last 90 minutes.

Liverpool, who have expressed their opinion that the PL must be played to a conclusion at all costs, whilst simultaneously arguing that the WSL (in which their team happens to be bottom) should be declared void, with no relegation, on safety grounds?

Absolutely. In addition, they weren't bothered when Everton and subsequent league winners couldn't play in the European cup following Heysel, not forgetting hosting Madrid only a few weeks ago.

It's only fair. They are Liverpool.

Oh, so Crodo didn't hack into your account and write the second part of that quote? The fella actually said it!

The whole thing is such a farce now – clubs have lost sight of the bigger picture in their desperation to be promoted/champions. It really wouldn't be a national embarrassment. Get a grip, Leeds Monkey.

I’m aware Liverpool want/prefer the league to be concluded, as do Brighton, but am not aware it was in such a forceful manner as you suggest.

As for your point about the women’s team they have stated this isn’t true https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/05/liverpool-women-not-pushing-for-wsl-season-to-be-abandoned/

Best outcome, Leeds fans turn up in their thousands for the game that would clinch promotion.
The Police not happy, and get the game abandoned.
Leeds docked points for failing to fulfill fixture, and finish in play off positions, and lose both legs of play off semi final.

You’re too nice.
Leeds to reach play off final, and lose a dramatic penalty shoot out.

I am right in thinking that Leeds have taken over from Massive and Palace as the most disliked club by NSC followers?

Liverpool seem to be in the mix as well.

I thought Liverpool was the first club to stick their snouts in the Job Retention Scheme trough when furloughing was first announced and only pulled back from it when the rest of the footballing world gave them shit over it.

Maybe I was wrong.

They did. But then revised their decision. Struggling to see the big issue here. It’s hardly crime of the century.

Again, worth pointing out Brighton didn’t rule this out when Barber was asked if Brighton would use this scheme.

This.

Laughable attempts by a few NSC’ers over the two months insinuating that one club, LFC, have driven the whole thing. Evidence - zero.

As if rivals Everton, ManU and ManC would love to see Liverpool win yet another trophy.

This enduring attempt to get the season completed is driven by one thing ... money. PB admitted this. The 20 owners/CEO’s are unsurprisingly, unwilling to each wave goodbye to £10m’s.

Brighton definitely would have used this scheme if the other clubs hadn't changed their mind.

Liverpool seem to be in the mix as well.

I'm not sure why Liverpool fans are causing such ire.

They are what they are, they always have been like 'that' and they always will.
It's almost as if they've become an even more paranoid cliché of themselves, now nobody ever thought that was possible.

Oh and rippleman is correct.
The Scouse begging hand was the first one out.

Tottenham and a few others did first.

Liverpool reversed it when fans and ex players slammed it.

Tottenham eventually reversed their plan to use it too.

Brighton definitely would have used this scheme if the other clubs hadn't changed their mind.
For reasons best known to himself Mr Bloom repeatedly refused financial assistance from those at the top of HIS club.
I think it took 3 attempts to finally accept some pay cuts.

The further we go from that initial flurry of debate, the more it seems like Mr Barber was trying to protect Tony from himself.
