i think it is true. i believe it snows when a warm front meets with a cold front and if obviously there is no warm front then it dont snow....well thats what i heard

You're on the right track. It is to do with us being a maritime climate as opposed to a continental climate.

If it is really cold the wind is coming from a certain direction and means that it won't snow. I don't know the exact conditions for snow but I think it has to have got to freezing overnight and then a warm front comes in with rain and meets up with the freezing temperature of the cold front which turns it to snow

I'll shut up now cos I'm confusing myself :lolol:
