Very best of luck to you for the walk and to your wife for her treatment. Hopefully you'll get the result you want at the end of her course. My wife's uncle is in the early stages of finding out about a similar journey he's going to have to take, so all good news is gratefully received!

Thank you for your generous donation and kind words. I hope your wife's uncle's journey is a smooth one, without too many speed bumps in the road!
As for the gout, we did manage to do 3 miles today, with me using our little ones buggy like a crutch, taking some of the weight off my poorly foot. Got my foot up now!

Well did a practice walk yesterday following the route of our March 26th Walk of Light event. We did Reculver to Minis Bay and it was bloody freezing. I was actually happy to be wearing the bandana I have been using since beginning my treatment for actinic keratosis - helps hide the treatment area, and kept my head warm!

We are still on target to hit the 1000 mile mark on 26th too, providing I don’t get a reoccurrence of gout!

Once again, can I say a big thank you to all who have donated, much appreciated.

Thanks once again for all those that have contributed to my request, it really is much appreciated.

We have had a slight change of tack for this Saturday's upcoming Walk of Light, instead of walking from Reculver to Minnis Bay, we are now going to walk the opposite, slightly more attractive direction of Reculver to Herne Bay - our Kent members of the boards will probably know what I'm talking about.

We have managed to keep our daily tally up to the point where we will now complete our 1,000 mile challenge too, on the return leg from Herne Bay. It has been a fantastic year of walking, helping to keep us mentally and physically fit(ish).

Well, our Walk of Light has been completed - unfortunately we had to do the walk during daylight hours, so didn't get to use our lights...!

It went well, and on the return journey we completed our 1,000 miles challenge too, so all in all a good day.

Once again, thank you for all the donations, much much appreciated!

For any stragglers, there's still time to help...
