To a degree I agree with you. There's no doubt in my mind that those demonstrators carrying clearly inflamitory placrads should have been arrested, for the good of the majority of decent moslems (who are very much the majority) as well as for the fact that I doubt whether a non moslem would have got away with carrying a placard saying 'kill ragheads' or some such.

it is a point that needs answering for example-how come when a group of lads,say 10-15 of them get off a train at thornton heath station,on their way to a football match that happens to be brighton vs palace, the group of lads are restricted from entering certain pubs,going down certain streets and detained under the met's power for as long as they deem long enough.......yet a protester dressed in a very seemeingly confrontational dress and very threatening dress is simply allowed to do as he pleases, and possibly put accross the message to similar muslims with similar feelings that this kind of behavior shall be tolerated and not challenged by what is supposed to be the finest boys in blue in the country.
