Is watching England this w/e a good subsitute for the lack of an Albion match?

Definitely not imo but it is likely to be even more annoying than watching Albion on a bad awayday though, so I'm gonna give it a miss :)

I can't even get particularly interested to be honest. It's only Wales.

Just think of it as us versus Wrexham or one of those other crap teams west of the border. So that's a win for us then! :drink:

no substitute, but I like England world cup qualifiers, great excuse to get pissed , normally a win to keep the good vibe going + actually quite good to pull . All blokes watching football, birds sitting there needing entertainment . . .try it

The fact we can put the Taffys in there place is even sweeter.

I'm with mejona - the Albion is the first passion of course, but England games get my blood PUMPING as well (as long as its not a friendly)...there's always so much to discuss afterwards. I'm actually missing a wedding for this as well (not mine), although I have promised to go to the reception.

Presumably they are either distant relatives or just total twats who are more like aquaintances than proper friends.

Pretty much.
I only know them vaguely through the missus. She's giong to the whole day, I'll just roll up at the reception already pissed. Its only in a pub round the corner anyway.

Hopefully the Sky Sports wil be on, so I can catch Scotland v Italy as well.

If we were in oneof the lower leagues and were still playing tomorrow then I would go to watch us over England.

This is a rare weekend when I can get on with things at home, catch up on the gardening etc - down tools at 3 to watch England - and then do sort clearing out of rubbish etc after the match.
The summer is usually too nice to do such mundane things and of course Albion matches take priority on a Saturday normally.

the question isnt are they as good as albion games!

its are they a good substitute for the LACK of albion games,

so you would rather have no football match on than endure the pain of watching your countrys team?
