The poll would suggest otherwise at the moment although there's no argument with your second point as this thread has been inspired by the drabness on here today and is obviously part of the problem.

Usually, at the end of season when there's bugger-all to talk about, people have a row and talk the most crap.

Indeed. Timely reminder that this is one of those interminable close-seasons when there's no European Championships, no world Cup, no Albion in the play-offs, no nothing. In short, one of those close-seasons when all right-minded posters should just walk away from the board in mid-May and come back mid-July at the earliest, and only then to whinge about the lack of activity in the transfer window.

Not quite that bad. We'll still have CRICKET to talk about. :clap2: :mushy:

Top grammar marks for writing "uninteresting" instead of "disinteresting". Lots of people would have got that one wrong.

But writing "uninteresting" followed by "boring" was pretty poor in retrospect. Same difference isn't it :)

In between I think you mean ;)

Nah - its right as it is...

I could have finished the sentence:

Not if there were a comma between the two words, but lazily I just wrote dot dot dot

No. It would still be incorrect grmmatically.

Uninteresting has the same meaning as boring therefore it is a tautology.

I don't think that's quite true. I could be bored by something because it's gone on too long but I'm still interested.

Take the average football match, there are plenty of passages of play that could be described as boring but they're not so uninteresting that people leave.

Besides, even if they were the same, would that make it ungrammatical? The phrase "a great big..." is in common parlance.

But, isn't it an interesting debate to be having on a thread that's about how uninteresting it is?

:)
