Rotherham, Bournemouth, Wigan & Blackburn before next international break, anything less than 6 points from these and IMO he'd have to go, it'd give a new manager 6 weeks to assess squad before transfer window reopens

Hope you are exercising those vocal chords!

Seriously. He will be okay. My wife has had a bad turn during the night and can't travel or be left so we won't be there today.......it could be just the good omen Sami needs :lolol:

A reminder that winning or losing a football match isn't the most important thing in the world. Hope she improves quickly.

No, but it would certainly help.

Baldock getting on the score sheet wins him bonus points.

For me this is a must win. If we don't and it's down to the way we are set up/playing/team selection, then I'll be a Sami Out!
However I can see the board sticking with him right up until it's too late.

I don't think TB will stick with it too long. He didn't put £200M+ into the club to see us go backwards. Relegation would be catastrophic

Thank you. Much appreciated. Trying to smile and be nice this morning and not doing too well at it but such is life and if it gifts us a win it'll be worth it :lolol:

I really do take my football (well Albion anyway) too seriously - the odd reminder does me no harm

Afraid so, just doesn't seem able to get us going. Whether it's his coaching/managing ability or that he just doesn't have the players at his disposal to play his way, I'm not sure. Maybe he isn't a lucky manager. We just can't continue in this vein. Looks like he's already lost the dressing room, and is in danger of losing the fans too

Care to substantiate the dressing room bit

What on earth are you basing that on exactly?

Don't think it is must win but if we lose and don't score then he may be on his way. Shame as I think we have played fairly well but just don't have a goal scorer which isn't entirely down to Sami. On a brighter note maybe today is the day everything goes right and we win 3:0, stranger things have happened!

I don't think i'll suddenly be roaring for his riddance if we fail to do in the Rotherers. I expect us to, and my head may boil and opinion turn for moments if we don't, but i don't want to be one of the screamers for change when we as of yet have no standard, other than that of not quite winning games. We're not as we were without forces and presences such as Upson and Ulloa, but that doesn't mean we're without skill, heart or venom. A number of the howlers begged for us to play attacking football the last few years, bemoaning our possession-based football and calm, and i tend to notice us now doing that, but of course more fragile in defence with so many far forward. I remain with hope and today will administer a cool-hearted slapping to our foes without a Dunk hattrick.

The Spurs game is fairly academic, no-one expect us to win that. But I'm worried about the Bournemouth TV game; they seem to have a well balanced side. Howe is a shrewd customer and with the crowd behind them, let's just say, we'll have to be strong that evening. The Albion board will be well aware that both Spurs and Bournemouth fixtures could realistically prove fruitless. For that reason, there will be a lot riding on today. If we lose this one, it's going to put enormous pressure on both Sami and the players. Something may give.

I think this is realistic given there is no obvious quality replacement available and the costs and upheaval involved in a further change

May be wrong, but do the players look like they have total confidence in what is expected of them, and how they are expected to play ? Do they look to Hypia for inspiration and instructions when things aren't working out. Do they all give the impression they are giving their all for their manager ? Maybe it's not just the manager, we have had so many departures and arrivals, players and management over the last 18 months, perhaps some of the players don't feel the same connection to the club and fans. There is plenty to be said for continuity and stability. That said, I hope we win well today, confidence returns, we climb the table and Hypia proves to be a success for us

If we lose today the board have got to have a look at what needs to change, whether this is the manager or whether it means getting a couple of experienced players in to improve the squad in certain areas, the trouble is I can't see anything changing either way.

Maybe.

People are too scared to start official match threads these days because they are scared of getting the blame.

Past 11am and haven't seen one. They used to be started at 1 minute past mid-night back in the day of wins.
