Is this the greatest indie album of the last century?

when the greatest indie album world cup arrives i expect the final to be these two

Nope. And the fact that it was released on Fontana Records, a part of the PolyGram conglomerate, precludes its definition as an 'indie album'.

It's not even the best HoL album!

Certainly is. Only heard it for the first time recently. So many crackers on there. Takes some getting into, but well worth the time investment.

Stiff Little Fingers 'Inflammable Material' is my choice for Best Indie album of my lifetime (assuming Rough Trade qualified as an Indie label!).

Good call. I remember reading this was the first high charting indie album although it depends how you define indie I guess.

2005 originally. I took it to mean 'of the last hundred years' rather than pre-milenium. But fair play if not.
