Is this one of the BEST opening songs to a concert EVER?

Just done a quick check and yes, it's the same version. I only know because a mate of mine is obsessed by AC/DC and can't refer to them without saying "The Mighty" before their name. It is physically impossible for him.

It's hilarious ! People slag off Status Quo for having an entire career playing the same song and then name AC/DC as absolute rock legends ! All their songs sound the same too but we are not allowed to mention it :laugh: I had the misfortune to see AC/DC about 30 years ago at the Centre and the good news is..... see them now and nothing has changed ! still overly loud with incomprehensible lyrics.

Quick additional thought:

Seeing people/fans going PROPER MENTAL en masse has always been one of the great life-affirming experiences for me. Well, unless the opposition supporters are doing it of course (as that's one of the very worst things to endure). Maybe I'm just a sad old bird who should spend more time meditating & philosophizing (or maybe I just need to get out on a friday night!), but I really don't give a flying one tbh. It rocks.

Here's hoping we can all be willing participants in marvelous, bonkers scenes in the stands tomorrow. It can't come soon enough for me. :thumbsup:

How does Back in Black sound like Highway to Hell?

How does Thunderstruck sound like 'It's a long way to the top'.

How does Black Ice (off the new album) sound like Whole Lotta Rosie?

How does Let there Be Rock sound like The Jack?

you're talking shite, basically. Two different vocalists for a start.

They stick to their core ability: loud rock and roll. End of.

There have been many I've witnessed but when Verve (as they were then still called) opened up with Slide Away at Camden Town Hall on 23 October 1992 it was jaw droppingly awesome and will live with me forever - a sonic wall of sound washed over me and what's more it was recorded TV quality by Fuji TV from Japan and lasy year I tracked down a good copy on ebay.
Just found it on youtube too;

the best opening to a gig i've seen was also ac/dc but at wembley last year. rock n roll train.

the whole cartoon sequence then leading into the total mayhem that followed. if i was half sharp i'd post the link, but seems like to much hard work.

can anyone oblige?? ta
