It looks like extensions with a headband, to me. Extensions are easily fixed and removed.

I don't object to it on any aesthetic grounds. But I find it a bizarre thing to do before a football match. Does it help with cushion headers?
Given that this presumably means that creative headwwear is not outlawed, who will be the first player (I'll wager it will be a keeper) who rocks up on the pitch wearing one of these bad boys?
