Huh? I haven't removed any words from the sentence; I quoted it in full. He said that there were three criteria that the club wanted the new manager to have; I highlighted the one that only Nathan Jones possesses. That's a perfectly reasonable thing to have done.
It's analogous to saying that an actor for a film needs to be "tall, dark and handsome", and then recruiting someone who's 5'3".
Anyway, it's moot now - it wasn't a hint that we were going to appoint Nathan; it was a cock up. C'est la vie.
