Is there anything to eat at The Amex other than pie?

Genuine question, not a moan.

Obviously there's the East Stand Restaurant, but apart from that, what's on offer? Do they have much choice in Dicks?

As someone in the minority who isn't much of a pie fan , it's a bit boring when the choice every week is one of the 3/4 on offer.

Tried the burgers and hot dogs, but like every other football ground in the country apart from probably Norwich, they aren't up to much, as you'd expect I suppose. Burger was cold, hot dog was rubber.

Are there any healthier options? Do they sell anything else hot in Dicks? Or is it just pie, pie and more pie?

Can't imagine I'm the only person going straight to the game from work tomorrow night, who fancies something half decent without forking out for a fancy 3 course dinner from the restaurant.

Again, this isn't a moan, as I can't imagine there are many football grounds that sell anything other than junk!!

Cheers

I have received a direct challenge today on Twitter from a Man City fan that Piglet's Pantry pies at the Amex are NOT as good as those at the Etihad. Fighting talk in National Pie Week.

Noodles in WSU, about £7-£8 though

Noodles were £7 in West Upper, but it is a posh pot noodle, they pour in hot water and let it stand. Think someone said you get a bag of prawn crackers with it too

Other than that Dicks Bar do Paninis, not idea if they are nice or not, but its not a burger, hotdog or pie

Panini's are not too bad to be honest. Bit of side salad & Crisps with it as well. :)

Avoid the hot dogs- poor quality indeed. Only had one as I won it on scratch card.

Apart from the fact the bun is about twice the size of the sausage I think the hot dogs are acctually half decent, when you compare them to the majority of other Football grounds. Ive had one of the panini's from Dicks and they were quite decent, and you get a handfull of CRISPS with it asewll. Might have to get there early though.

Does the burger van operate at Falmer Station operate on mid week games - if so is it any good

it was brilliant but I believe it's been moved on due to complaints.

I'm sure the Soul Crew would be happy to let you eat some pavement tomorrow night if they show up.

Yes, thank you.

Hmmm, seems West Upper is the place to go for variety, but as I don't have a Season ticket there, might need to get in the panini game.

Why not eat elsewhere, before the game ?
