Is there a finer 90s film than The Fugitive?!!

I'd add Michael Mann's Heat but also his version of Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis, probably one of my favourite films of all time.

Dances With Wolves stirred me back then but not seen it since. On a Costner tip, The Bodyguard remains a guilty pleasure although I'm sure it wouldn't make anyone elses list.

The Big Lebowski and Fargo would be up there for me as would T2 but I've seen it so many times it bores me now but back in the day, tremendous.

Braveheart - complete bunkum, but richly entertaining.
American Beauty - truly wondrous performance from the monumentally talented Kevin Spacey.
Fargo - not just one of the best films of the 90s, but comfortably wedged in my all-time top 3.

The correct answer to the OP is 'no'.

The greatest film of the decade (1997 to be precise) is Life is Beautiful.

My top 3 of the 90s:

Point Break
LA Confidential
Jurassic Park

Usual Suspects is the most overrated IMO. Doesn't make sense.
I always think that about Shawshank. Always elevated from good to great.

No because Tommy Lee Jones won the best supporting actor Oscar over Ralph Fiennes as Amon Goeth in Schindler's List which I think you will find is the GREATEST Oscar travesty of all time imo

And Tarantino only picking up best original screenplay for Pulp Fiction whilst that pile of mediocrity ...Forest Gumption swept the board.

Usual Suspects - still gives me Goosebumps at the end even though I know what happens.

Leon- Gary Oldman - enough said.

To be honest, there are so many great films around, it is an injustice to label one the best.

I'd forgotten how completely turd Forest Gump was. A travesty indeed.

Titanic hasn't been mentioned. Bit slow to get going, but great special effects of a terrifying situation to be in.
