it's green and gold, to tie in with our concerted marketing push in Australia.
* Unveiled in Sydney
* Signed Maty Ryan
* Nearly signed Aaron Mooy
* Er.... Tony plays poker there sometimes

I think it's decent. I think people will like it more once seen on a football pitch. I wasn't big on the home shirt but it looks ace worn by the players on the pitch.

Greene Sleeves is worne awaie,
Yellow Sleeves Comme to decaie,
Blacke Sleeves I holde in despite,
But White Sleeves is my delighte

Translated into modern English:

"Green sleeves are a bit cheap and wear out easily
Yellow sleeves just rot and fall to pieces
Black sleeves are revolting
But I really, really like white sleeves, they're my favourite."

How on earth does the club come up with this shirt? It's dreadful.
It's not rocket science. We know the best kits are simply and classically designed. Stick to that principle and you won't go far wrong. What a shame and what a missed opportunity.

I assume the sleeves are there to accentuate future advertising logos.

I'll hazard a guess a leading 'Brand Marketing Optimum Optics Design Consultant' got paid a squillion pounds to produce these kits for Nike, so be grateful.

I suspect it will look much better in real life. I actually quite like it, though I don't think there's a football shirt in the world I'd personally consider wearing in my leisure time.

Unfortunately there is no longer any "real life" when it comes to the premier league.

True, but at least he didn't fall for the marketing BS:

"Greene Sleeves is worne alternative" wouldn't even have rhymed or scanned.

And the team will be wearing it at all the big away games this season. Plain yellow sleeves would be been fine!

I love it personally. And the home shirt. This year is the first year I've liked any of the Nike shirts.

Well you're obviously just plain weird!

Not really bothered. Some shirts I like but others I don't. The only thing that really matters is what happens on the pitch, and shirt design has no influence on that. There are more important things to worry about than "The black and yellow stripes look green."

Agreed - I'm not sure what all the negativity is about, having picked up the 'home'shirt this morning, I really want this away shirt now too! (with its black and gold stripped sleeves!)
