I got told off for using the word PENIS in the office last week. A female colleague shouted at me for bringing smut and filth into her life.

and you should've replied:

"you brought yourself into MY life......BITCH!"

that'd been well funny :)

Swearing's not big or clever.

Drinking a glass of water whilst whistling GOSBTS and cutting your toenails with a teaspoon - THAT would be clever.

And Sweden is big.

Lack of vocabulary my arse. I have a fabulous array of vocab at my disposal, and in having so I can appreciate the artistic and aesthetic value of an appropriately situated curse. Like any other word, they serve a purpose, and when used correctly do so more articulately and eloquently than a whole string of "acceptable" words could ever hope to do. I've based entire lessons around swears words for goodness sake.

Anyway, f*** this shit, I'm up way too bastard early again tomorrow, so good ******* night.

Winston Churchill - arguably the greatest exponent of the English language in its spoken and written form - swore like a docker apparently. That's f***ing well good enough for me and more than nails the "limited vocabulary" argument.
