I thought Harley did ok at Watford. What he lacks is strengh and aggresion,a problem with our midfield in general,as we are being out fought on occasions. As for his attitude, i am sure he wants to do well,if only for himself !

Give him a chance you idiots. I'm sure Gus and Swansea saw something in him. He's clearly class it's just it hasn't clicked yet.

Why has everyone always got to find a fall guy?

We do seem to have a problem in midfield with regard to all the players being lightweight. They possibly would all look better if they had 2 or 3 stronger players around them.

Maybe we have signed to many flair/luxury players without re enforcing the engine room.

Peake was signed with great expectations but did not work, I'm interested to know if people think Harley will go the same way.

He obviously has talent as we saw last season and the fact that Swansea then a league above signed him.

If he made an effort and ran about a little bit, then he might get the fans onside..............

You know you are absolutely right. He should totally change his entire style of play because our fans would like to see a team of Gary Hart's. Glenn Murray was USELESS for us last year wasn't he? You know, Glenn 'the work horse' Murray.

Christ. Give him a chance won't you? And why pick on him? Half our team is under performing at the moment, why always pick on a scape goat.

What does "chance" mean? How many minutes has he been on pitch? We only have 10 outfield players if 1 of them is completely out of it it's like playing with 9 .. in fact worse he gives the ball back! I'm sorry, In 20+ years of supporting our team I've never been critical of one of our players apart from the odd crap performance but this guy has played in 7 (?) now and I've seen 6 of them and bugger all effort or quality .... if he needs a chance put him in Dev Squad ...if he's class he'll come back quick enough and prove me wrong

Jason Peake was much better and put in more effort.
How many chances do we give Harley?? We can't afford to give him anymore, we need a win to get out of this dreadfull run we're on. He should have taken his chance on Tuesday when he called up from the bench to play before kick off.

I saw Peake play a one touch volleyed 40 yard pass (played as the ball crossed the path of his run in mid air.) at the Goldstone which lead to a goal... it was seriously one of the best passes I've ever seen. I doubt Harley could do that at this level, which to be fair was beyond Peake too.

I agree I thought he was one of our better players at Watford and when he went off I thought the team performance deteriorated even further.

The problem is so many fans have decided he does not try regardless of how many matches he has played etc etc.

Any player should deserve a reasonable opportunity but I witnessed one bloke swear at Harley every time he touched the ball from his first touch after kick off to the time he went off including all the occasions when he did something well.

.Think that he will come good in time, perhaps not excel this season but will come into his own next. Noonme hada mixed start to his BHA career but has come on in leaps and bounds this season so there is hope for Harley.

The title made me laugh! Great comparison, but Peaked looked like he had quality, and didn't really show his potential in a poor team. Harley has shown a little bit of quality, and sounds like he has potential in a good team. Harley wins. And I hope with all the injuries we have, as he'll play a lot more he'll show us what Gus sees in him.

Yep. There seem to be plenty of people like that. Choose the player they're going to slag off in advance and interpret everything from then on in a way which suits their view.

I'm far from Harley's greatest fan but he showed some bottle after his abysmal penalty at Millwall by improving a lot after the break and forcing a good save from distance. Likewise at Watford he wasn't really any worse than the rest. If people get off his back, that may help us find out whether he really can make a contribution.

I am still happy to give Harley a chance. It was not that long ago that people were slagging off El Abd. It is still only November. If it does not work out, so be it but I think it is too early to write the guy off.
