Is NSC getting boring

My son has just pointed out to me how boring NSC is getting as there are very few good threads with constructive arguments or discussions on it and I must agree as the standard seems to be dropping drastically. Is it because there appear to be more childish back stabbing and calling of names.

There used to be some good arguents of peoples opinions etc but now as soon as that happens somebody gets out of their pram and start giving personal abuse rather than argue their corner.

Agree with Algie. Let the right wingers back, allow free speech - or set up a section of the board where those conversations can go. Don't think LI will ever come back, despite being a legend. Or bellend, I can never quite remember....

couldn't agree more, if the club website was more up to date and gave more info out I doubt I'd bother - frankly the music threads are more fun and rarely end in the way that most player opinion "discussions" seem to. Of course there will always be someone taking the opposite view, such is life and a boring one it would be if we all thought the same, but the name calling seems so juvenile and I tend to lose interest in the discussion / argument when it gets to that stage which is usually before the end of the first page, IMHO

Most of the people who made NSC an interesting place have left or limit their contributions-presumably for the reasons you mention.

Right wingers are welcome, racists aren't.

LI can post whenever he wants as far as I am aware

Why don't you and your son start some threads then - some people just won't help themselves.

It'll be like The Generation Game.

I'ts still quite an entertaining read, even if not for all the right reasons.
Some of the extreme knee jerk reactions are really funny, When you read the official match threads, we sometimes go from useless no hopers to world beaters in 90 minutes.
Also the abuse of certain players is unbelievable.
If I wanted pathetically stupid opinions, designed to get a reaction, I would listen to Adrian Durham on Talksport.

The problem with this site is the childish namecalling and constant bitching. How many times does a certain member quote my posts in order to make a petty little argument about something I've said, for example? It's pathetic. Anyone who thinks differently on here is destined to be called all sorts of childish names... it's unneccessary. There are a vast number of extreme dramatists on here, it brings the place down in my own humble opinion. But it doesn't stop anyone coming on here, we're all Brighton fans and this is the only place to talk all things Brighton.

No problem with LI or right-wingers making their cases. That as has been said is not the same thing as allowing the board to be used as a vehicle for racist and fascist abuse. The posters that have been banned added nothing to NSC and IMO dragged it down into the gutter far too many times.

this is the only place to talk all things Brighton.

Bollocks.

If you want to talk about 'all things Brighton', toddle off to brightonfans.com where you can join in some very enlightening conversation about nothing other than Albion.

If you want a busy, sometimes random but always entertaining, messageboard that discusses topics as diverse as the global warming conference and who you'd like to shag out of Girls Aloud (as well as the occasional Albion-related thread) then stay here.

If you don't like the childish name-calling then don't rise to the bait every time it's dangled in front of you.
