High up on the South Downs.
The reason why Baker, the Sussex Nimby Front and the CPRE are total fraudsters is that they've made such an issue of our stadium at the university and wailed about the destruction of the South Downs. Yet when a big hotel was given planning permission ON TOP of the Downs to provide financial backing for the re-development of Goodwood their silence was deafening.

A rural Sussex accent sounds similar to a West Country accent, but slightly more rounded. Easy mistake to make, as many people think that my old man is West Country, when he was brought up in Ripe (near Berwick, near Drusillas).

I worked with a guy who was born & bred in Hooe, (spelt right?)
Sounded like a right f***ing carrott cruncher!

He's a very good MP, just don't agree with him about Falmer.

I loathe Baker's stand on Falmer, but that aside, I keep hearing that Baker actually works very hard on behalf of his local constituents, which is more than you can say for a lot of MPs.

He seems quite popular locally, if you take the Albion issue out of the equation. At least his constituents know he exists, my local MP (below) only seems to emerge when there's a fox hunting debate to be heard or someone threatens to tax 4x4s. Well that and lunch time.

Are you suggesting that he has more chins than a chinese phone book?!

Who is that by the way? I have no idea who my local MP is...I oculd google it, but this Apple Mac is crap!

Incidentally, Celia Barlow claimed £1,300 on travelm expenses 'other'. Not car/hire car/taxi/train/air. What is other!? Walking!? And she wore out two pairs of Jimmy Choos??

He's the best MP we've had down here, and always replies to my letters within a week. Just the one fault really.
