Think that the Sponsors Man of the Match award should be changed to a 'Man of the Match that isn't Liam Bridcutt' award.
He is unbelievably conisistent as well. I can't remember him having too many average games, let alone poor ones.
It is his consistency that marks him out as one of the best midfielders we've ever seen. Along with 80k a week loanee Wayne Bridge, and the ex Man Utd Champs League appearing PIG, he's got to be one of the only three on the team sheet that picks itself every single week.
He is getting close to emulating Brian Horton as a midfield general.
Although playing systems were different then - I still dont think he's as good as any of Danny Wilson, Brian Horton, Peter OSullivan, or Jimmy Case. For allround football ability, I have never seen anyone as good in a Brighton shirt as Brian Horton (yes I even think Horton pips Lawrenson). But thats only since 1970.
The most valuable player in the team. A gem.
f*** me, that boy is good.
