Johnson has a lot to answer for..... and it could get worse, much worse....

THE INDEPENDENT February 13th

Police have launched an investigation into a rash of online death threats made against Keir Starmer by right-wing extremists in the wake of Boris Johnson’s false claim that he “failed to prosecute” the paedophile Jimmy Savile.

A dossier of messages from apparently identifiable users of the Telegram app was sent to Scotland Yard by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) on Friday.

Among them were calls for the Labour leader and shadow foreign secretary David Lammy – who were accosted by a mob shouting “paedophile protector” and “Savile” as they walked through Westminster last week – to be “executed”.

Mr Johnson’s smear has been widely condemned as an attempt to distract attention from his role in the Partygate scandal, which is currently being investigated by police.

The prime minister was forced to clarify that he was aware Sir Keir played no part as director of public prosecutions in the decision not to prosecute Savile, as was found by a QC-led independent inquiry at the time. However, he has so far refused to apologise.

The CCDH cache of material, shown to The Observer, includes responses to footage of last week’s incident posted by English Defence League founder Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – better known under his pseudonym Tommy Robinson – and conspiracy theory group Resistance GB.

One commenter said Mr Starmer and Mr Lammy should be detained “until preparation can be made for their execution”, while another said the Labour leader should be “linched [sic] from the nearest lamppost”. Another said: “The sooner they’s all dead the better. Hang the f***ing lot of them.”

CCDH chief executive Imran Ahmed called for tighter controls on Telegram.

“Two sitting MPs [Jo Cox and David Amess] have been murdered in the last six years,” he said. “Telegram has made a calculated business decision to allow users to egg each other on to violence against named politicians with zero consequences.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Friday 11 February police received a third-party report relating to allegations of malicious communications made against a serving Member of Parliament. An investigation is ongoing.”

A Labour source said: “Of course, extremists of all stripes don’t like Keir. He spent years helping to put them and their ilk in prison.”

Sir Keir has said that he had never faced accusations of being a “paedophile protector” before Mr Johnson’s comment.

“If others want to argue that this is unconnected with precisely what the PM said one week before, then let them make that case,” he said in the wake of the incident. “But they’ll never persuade me that there is no link.”

Scotland Yard was unable to confirm that an investigation had been launched into the alleged threats.

Mr Lammy earlier this week told The Independent that the PM’s “worrying” comments echoed Donald Trump’s tactic of firing up supporters with unsubstantiated slurs sourced from the political extremes.

“The only modern-day example of a leader pulling stuff from the fringe into the centre is Donald Trump,” said the shadow foreign secretary.

“And we saw where that led. It led to the horrendous, horrific assault on the Capitol. And I’m afraid there were elements of that in some that were gathered on the Embankment last week.”

I think that Johnson's Saville slur came out during the debate after the release of the Sue Gray report on Partygate. Starmer clinically took Johnson apart as he squirmed on the front bench....back benchers squirmed too as Starmer directly appealed to them to clean up the mess they had created by giving Johnson the leadership......all Johnson could do was take body blow after body blow as his lies and misdeeds were pointed out....

That's why he lashed out with the Saville slur, he's so used to dishing it out but he can't take the truth...he had to try to hurt Starmer any way he could and this was all he had.

For me, the mendacious PM is beyond the pale; hitting out at/pleading with a psychopath is always going to fail.... see definition of psychopath below.....

Boris Johnson , if one takes the Cleckley definition of psychopathy:

“Cleckley then summarizes the material and provides a 'clinical profile', describing 16 behavioral characteristics of a psychopath (reduced from 21 in the first edition):

Superficial charm and good intelligence
Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking
Absence of nervousness or psychoneurotic manifestations
Unreliability
Untruthfulness and insincerity
Lack of remorse and shame
Inadequately motivated antisocial behaviour
Poor judgment and failure to learn by experience
Pathological egocentricity and incapacity for love
General poverty in major affective reactions
Specific loss of insight
Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations
Fantastic and uninviting behaviour with drink and sometimes without
Suicide threats rarely carried out
Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated
Failure to follow any life plan.”

it can be seen that he conforms to at least fourteen of Cleckley’s sixteen diagnostic criteria. (It is suggested that if anyone doubts this assessment, they read any of the biographical material readily available online, which could be regarded as having the same functions as both a semi-structured interview and examining historical records pertaining to persistent and pervasive behaviour over time).

As far as anyone is aware he does not make a habit of making suicide threats; and it could be argued that his ‘life’s plan’ since his university days has been to become the prime minister of the UK. However, given that he has had a very varied range of occupations over the last twenty-odd years, most of which have resulted in controversy regarding his conscientiousness and integrity, it could also be argued that he is someone who is not committed to any specific profession but uses them all instrumentally merely as an aid for his self-advancement.

He is well known to be a liar, womaniser, ruthless, shameless, with a noticeable lack of affective empathy and an extreme level of glib charm that is both manipulative and charismatic. The ‘likeable, childlike, irresponsible but entertaining comedian’ persona he has cultivated since his late teens has served him very well politically.

He is an excellent example of someone who exhibits an extroverted, successful high-functioning psychopathic style; while, to his own amusement - hiding in plain sight. Just like his aid Dominic Cummings, who is an excellent example of the introverted version of Boris Johnson.

And who says that psychopaths can’t work together for their own good?

Note: ‘antisocial’ behaviour does not invariably mean ‘criminal’.

However, his supporters (ambitious Ministers and other sycophants) do not have the psychological condition, know what he is like but 'prop him up' anyway. That is where the real toxicity lies.

Very, very credible.

compared to previous PMs I would say better than Theresa May, on a par with Cameron - a bit of a wishy washy centrist, definately not on Blair's level, but more importantly a thousand times better than Bozo, but then a traffic cone would be a better option than Bozo

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Pity he didn't manage to answer queries on the matter today.

The only questions he needs to answer are to the police. Of course, the first thing the police need to do is question themselves as to why they didn't find an offence the first time.

Just 35% of the popular vote, despite; the pandemic, lockdowns [beyond the control of nations, but creating a feel bad factor and hits to income], Partygate, the cost of living crisis, former Tories who loved the EU.

The December 2024 general election will return a hung parliament. Starmer will have to work on an issue by issue basis with Sturgeon, at a price.

The Labour issue seems to be that a fifth of the electorate, despite all of the above, just won’t vote for Labour. Ed Davey of all people seen as an attractive bet!

Maybe Sir Beer is simply innocent of any misdemeanor.

Have you managed to answer your own question there?

I'm stout enough to deal with your sarcasm, a lager than life character you might say.

Try not to get as desperate as all those other accounts that got banned. Hope this helps

I am asking you whether or not you were employing a daft pun; I found it difficult to believe you would stoop to such an infantile comment.

Surely you are better than that..... aren't you?

What about the thumbs up?

Yes.

Anyway, back on topic....has Sir Beer answered the allegations?

why is it that the centre"ish" left parties don't form a coalition, (or at least "help each other"), to rid us of these callous, unpatriotic blighters?
