Felt like that was an audition for RDZ and he didn’t want to get hammered by taking risks as he usually does, soon as Salah put them ahead we should of reacted a lot quicker with subs giving Ferguson 6 minutes was a joke why not Fati and Ferguson on immediately for an impact. Instead Lallana got his Anfield round of applause. These happy to part days should be over for us now we aren’t the PL newbies.

No. I understand the sentiment, but no. As others have have said if Albion win then I have 'enjoyed the game' if they lose then I haven't and for me there are no mitigating circumstances.

It may be that, apparently like Ben White, I'm not really a football fan; I can never watch a match as a neutral as the sport itself bores me. I guess if you do think that football is 'the beautiful game' then you can perhaps appreciate the aesthetics of a Brighton defeat, but I never can.

This antipathy towards football has only come over me in the last ten/fifteen years or so, before then I loved the game, but a combination of events has knocked it out of me. However even in the old days I still never enjoyed a Brighton defeat!

I get very upset after defeats like Luton and Fulham but get over it fairly quickly.
I have never heard so much positivity from third parties about the way we play and generally our fantastic performances. Sunday was a good game to watch and were were in with a shout throughout.

I just hope that if we do have to replace RDZ, it will be with a coach who can build on what we have.
There is so much young talent in our squad and also some great prospects out on loan.

Because that’s what I did on Sunday. I expected a hammering, did not expect a spectacular early goal and really enjoyed how we competed. Maybe we got a bit lucky but that has been in short supply recently.

The complete borefest between City and Arsenal only served to reinforce the feeling that I had seen a really enjoyable and exciting Albion game.

I also felt chuffed for Alexis, even if he was the one that ultimately laid on the ball that condemned us to defeat. Best player on the pitch and I didn’t begrudge it at all.

Anyone else or did you all want to slit your wrists?

Can relate to this as I thought we'd get a pasting and in the aftermath of Roberto's press conference. It's certainly get me excited about tomorrow although I'm trying to ignore how Brentford should have buried man united.

It's all about fine margins though as imagine if Salah did have his shooting boots on our mojo could be whole lot worse

Build on what we have and have a defensive impact when it matters. We threw away an important point at Spurs for no reason we weren’t losing the game and to commit 11 players forward was insanity.

The only circumstance I would ever "enjoy" an Albion defeat is if it condemned Palace to relegation.

I would describe my feeling after Sunday's 2-1 loss to Liverpool as 50% disappointment that we've lost a football match and 50% relief that we hadn't been spanked.

12 shots but a total xG of just 1.5. probably just shows he was desperate to get the winner so was shooting on sight.

Just football innit. It's basically a sit com. Not panicked about being relegated so I can sit back, enjoy watching two good teams and just be a bit disappointed that we didn't get a result.

His shots were wild, wide and high, any player can do that, like CMS. We contained him for quite a bit of the match so he scored just one.

I've been on the losing side of cricket matches (as a player) that afterwards I've been really happy and buzzing about. Gutted to lose, yes, but equally still on a high from how the game played out. It mostly comes down to the atmosphere the game gets played in. Lose a tight game to a pack of ***** is a very different thing to losing a tight game that was played with mutual respect and appreciation.

Of course, winning a tight game against a pack of ***** will always result in the biggest high of all.

A lot of shots - but not many 'real' chances. And Bart kept the only other decent one out exceptionally well.

I'm not happy with us losing.
Yes, they were excellent but they missed so many chances.
I think Adingra had Bradley on toast early on but our inability to capitalise on that really cost us. We very quickly resorted to long balls (especially from Bart) trying to find him and we lost all the impetus. Bradley then really grew into the game. I know that's about them as much as us. But it did feel like the kind of game of we might have got something out of last year.
Still, in the here and now no complaints with the result and it was a decent effort but I'm wary of getting carried away. It does show how far away we are from last season when we turning over teams (I accept there's a multitude of mitigating factors).
The problem with RDZ is he's made us dream big, so I'm never going to come out of a loss celebrating whilst he is here.

My old Saturday team won a local trophy beating a bunch of nasty ***** from Scoomb in the semis on pens and a bunch of nasty ***** from Whitehawk 1-0 in the final.

Absolutely buzzing after both.

Well I had an enjoyable day. Partly because it’s my first visit to Anfield since my student days in the 70s, generally standing in the Kop after paying cash at the turnstile, so nostalgic for me.

Sunny day, good friendly atmosphere, nice stadium, chatting to the lady in the next seat, Welbeck scoring after 2 minutes, good quality football, Ali Mac on form, Salah being a bit limp – apart from the goal, not having to travel far and that by Merseyrail with the Scousers as we’re visiting an in-law, escaping from that in-law for the day, expecting a trouncing but actually almost drawing – had Welbeck and others been a little faster off the mark and more accurate, watching Liverpool fans getting irate and worried. And the hope – as usual, but unfulfilled.

So yeah, feel much the same although always a little disappointing to lose.

Now have to find a pub for the Brentford match. Could be difficult around here, wish me luck.
