I hope so too mate.

The one year I was awake for midnight, I had two months off work and two spells in hospital with a collapsed lung, my Grandma passed away and our pet dog, who was 16 years old and who we'd had since she was a puppy had to be put down, hence the superstition.

:)

I've had a bad year too, slipped a disc resulting in an operation -been off work for months, only just back to work, my cat had to be put down down and my mum died 3 weeks ago...so I just hope 2007 is better. And I hope its good for everyone else too.

I'm working New Year's Eve....

It'll be a night on West Street for me, which means dealing with a lot of this:

:drink: :drunk: :whisky:

...a little of this:

...a few girlies doing this:

...a bunch of boring drunks doing this:

 :bla:

...and a STACK of this:

:catfight:

Happy 2007, everyone!

:lolol:

If you're posted down West Street then my friends might very well try to chat you up.

Couldn't you just go somewhere nice, rather than the nearest Yates or Wetherspoons?

I'd rather stay at home with my children than go anywhere. It's no different than any other night and I certainly do not want to celebrate the end of this year nor the beginning of the next.

I was joking, I know you have got your kids to think of. I just meant that even though it's amateur drinkers night it's still possible to go out and have a good time if you want to, without all the crap that often comes with NYE.

Will make a change from drunken members of the Albion youth team (well, and the first team these days) rolling out of the Event and slurring "h..h..h..helllllo offffffissher" as they try to stand up straight in the taxi queue...

Would you ARREST a member of the First Team if they misbehaved or would you be slightly more lenient??!??!?

Very true, I am OLD now or something. A nice meal at home with people I give a damn about and playing Hulabaloo with the children before going to bed with some Horlicks and a hot water bottle will suit me.
