The one year I was awake for midnight, I had two months off work and two spells in hospital with a collapsed lung, my Grandma passed away and our pet dog, who was 16 years old and who we'd had since she was a puppy had to be put down, hence the superstition.

I've had a bad year too, slipped a disc resulting in an operation -been off work for months, only just back to work, my cat had to be put down down and my mum died 3 weeks ago...so I just hope 2007 is better. And I hope its good for everyone else too.

Very true, I am OLD now or something. A nice meal at home with people I give a damn about and playing Hulabaloo with the children before going to bed with some Horlicks and a hot water bottle will suit me.
