No. Why pamper to Jocks and Taffys who dont want to be part of Britain anyway.

The jocks are already in there though Grandad!

Speaking as one of NSC resident sheepshaggers, I vote "No".
Not being there reinforces Wales' separateness.
I like the fact that we're not represented, it gives us reason to believe that we aren't part of the UK, that we are apart from the rest of you.

And besides, the only half-way decent hybrid I've seen so far is the one DP has just above this post.

I think it should be changed.. it's dated and needs refreshing. Taking into account our welsh and scottish comrades... I designed the following...

They should redesign it so it looks something like this:

This picture was taken of me in 1967.My buttocks are now of John Prescott proportions, and drag on the pavement when I walk.

Ah,those were the days right enough!

Could you not just use the Royal Standard? One of the sets of lions represents Wales, doesn't it? And the harp for NI is better than the makeyup St Patrick's Saltire which was chosen for addition to the Union Flag in 1801 for various reasons - namely shoving the harp on there would have looked fairly stupid.

True. Also the Northern Irish don't really use the St Patrick's saltire do they? They've got that 'red hand' flag. (Another symbol it would be hard to fit on). So we've got a national flag that ignores the Welsh and still includes southern Ireland. Basically it's wrong - which makes it typically British.

I would like to see a 'better' flag, but hopefully all four nations will be independant soon so it will render the argument obsolete.

No, Wales is already incorporated in the Union Flag by the cross of St George because we OWN those fucks.

If they want their own bit in the flag as well try this

union-jack.jpg

It has the red dragon of wales on the red background of the St George cross, now belt up.

NI hasn't got a flag as such, so they generally use the "Ulster Banner", which is the Ulster (provincial) flag but on white not yellow as it is traditionally.

That seriously confuses some people, I've got a 15 square foot red hand flag (on yellow) for use at rugby matches and its the symbol of Ulster and Tyrone GAAs - its not a symbol of unionism, Protestantism or any of the stuff that its imagined to be.

I think the PSNI use the St Patrick's Saltire on their logo, though.

Wales isn't on the Union Flag because it was never a proper Kingdom. England, Scotland and Ireland were. Northern Ireland is still an integral part of the United Kingdom, and Ireland's economy would be nowhere without the UK, so I think we should keep all the elements of the flag as it is. If Wales aren't happy they can always go it alone and see how they cope with an economy based on slate mines and bestial sex tourism.
