You are a total,total arsehole , with no understanding . Dick Knight saved this club. Without him we might (a) be in the conference, or (b) not be a football club. Not a bad word should be said about this man ...just remember the position of the club when he became chairman. Dick took the club to a new level, and then Tony Bloom has (quite obviously) moved it on even further. If Tony Bloom had become chairman with the financial clout of Dick Knight , where do you think we would be now...i will tell you . ADMINISTRATION. There would be no stadium...no Gus Poyet...no promotion .
On August 6...i hope that Dick Knight is applauded loudly, and with heartfelt thanks for everything he did for this amazing club...and Earnest..you dont deserve to be a supporter of this wonderful football club

Just bloody glad bloom bailed us out while most idiots on here thought dick tight was bailing us out,bloom never really got the credit for keeping us afloat while dick was chairman.I would love to buy bloom many pints

Agreed Knight did take on the club when we were in a bad way and did well for a couple of seasons but when Falmer dragged on and his cash began to run out he stayed on as chairman when he could do no more for us,we then had to go through a period when the standard of football was the pits which almost resulted in relegation to Division2.
Many supporters were not prepared to attend the low standard of football served up and had to go elsewhere and/or take Sky, but cannot forget the man who was responsible for them having to take this action.
We now have Bloom and a new stadium and will play in a decent league and in a year or so the bad days will be forgotton.
