Just think he was wrong to talk about 5 new players after all the times we have failed in the past. Also his comments in the argus about how he was suprised that Wilkins picked Savage for Millwall also got me worried.

Is it time for him to step down? No. Who is the alternative, Vulture? The present board (you know, the ones that are keeping the club afloat) seem to be happy with his stewardship and have shown no desire to front the club themselves.

We are reaching a critical stage of the Stadium process and realistically it could be suicide to start juggling the board about, it would certainly delay the stadium, of that I am certain.

Dick has been flamed for stating names in the past, flamed for not talking and now flamed by some for stating that the board acknowledge the need to strengthen and are in talks with five players. The fact that must be held onto is that, in respect to the transfer market, we are impotent and have the penetration levels of a Dormouses cock. We are not able to offer deals that are too good to turn down, so we have to work with the scraps. Should the board be chastised for their lack of funds? No. I must have missed all those multi-millionaires who are willing to put so much time and effort into a relatively thankless task.

Come what may, it could be a lot worse, look at Luton for example. Of course it will be disappointing if we are unable to sign all our target, but the club will not fold and we move ever closer to Falmer.

I never quite understand this attitude of ripping the board to shreds when the vast majority of deals are done in the last week of the window. Still, if it alleviates a bit of tension and makes one feel better...

Time to step down? No

Time to accept he cant take this club any further and invite future investors/chairman in for a chat? Yes

Otherwise we'll end up like Huddersfield......Nice new ground....but going nowhere!

People need to read the poll. To me those results say 70 per cent of people are not happy with the way he is running the club.

I suspect some of those people meant to VOTE No to him stepping down.

I am not massively happy with things and think now would be a good time to admit he cannot take us much further than this BUT shouldn't step down until someone is found to take us to the next level.

Do you understand the meaning of 'statistically significant' though Richie (and I'm not referring to your 'Page 3 Idol' thread here BTW)?

Yes I'm happy with how he's running this club, and no its not time for him to step down. He is the perfect person to get the funding and build us a stadium. As for when its finished and he has different challenges then we'll ask ourselves then....

Anyone who thnks we should ask these questions before Falmer is finished is attempting to kneecap the club.

I voted yes to the poll as the poll title asked am I happy the title question asked for an answer which contradicted the first.....whats the point in that??

correct - he cant step down until there is somebody ready to take over. but he needs to be going out and searching for that person
