Why does it need a board meeting to decide on BIG BALD BEAUTIFUL RUSS'
future at BHA. One might suggest that it is a split decision. Nothing ever seems streight forward at this club. Those in charge are like a bunch of dithering old dears deciding on what hat to wear.

How do we know there is a board meeting? To be fair Sunday everyone was nursing hangovers and imagine (this is a guess, no inside knowledge or any of that bollocks) that they are sorting it today. If they are not it is a Bank Holiday (although I am at work). Be patient I am sure we will get Rusty signed up very soon.

You can't make a BHA omlette without cracking (Russell's) egg. You should know that Uninvited Guest. It's quite obviously not a black and WHITE issue, and the Board obviously don't want to SHELL out for a long contract if they are unsure. You have to bear in mind that his time at YOKEvil was controversial to say the least.

Fair point but......think about it. You have to get contracts drawn up that means solicitors (both Albions and Russell's). It's bank holiday weekend and things need to be done after the euphoria of Saturday have calmed down. Just chill out. It will be fine.

I also heard that it's going to take until August 2011 to complete the Falmer stadium... I mean how ridiculous is that !!!!!!!! Bit of concrete and bricks with a few pipes and wires finished off with some green stuff in the middle... Should have got IKEA to build it.. :shootself

Because it does.

It's not something that can be agreed over the phone, there needs to be an official vote which has to be minuted.

The meeting could take 5 minutes if everyone agrees and then they can authorise DL to sort out the details with RS but it is a Board decision which must be officially and legally made.

This isn't some tinpot gang of people who get together to run a football club for fun, it is a private limited company and decisions are made by the Board. End of.

However, if they don't get him in, all the progress we have made will have been SCRAMBLED.

Your comment might have been made in jest - but quite honestly, I agree with it!

The contract should have been drawn up at the latest last week in anticipation of our success on Sat... as usual, the board are too fcuking slow... sorry, but it is an absolute no-brainer...

It's cold today...it's all the board's fault...

Slade has been offered a two-year deal, but I'm sure you agree that they waited much too long after the final whistle on Saturday - more than 48 hours is shameful - I think the board should stand down, don't you?

My point is that the directors should have agreed before Saturday's game if Slade is to be hired. A simple statement along the lines of The board of directors of Brighton And Hove Albion would like to offer the job of manager to ....... and after negotiations hope that ............ will accept our offer. It can't be too difficult even for the bunch of Charlies running this club

"Is it that difficult to make a quick decision?"

In this case, apparantly (and thankfully) not..............................

The Board have come to a decision quite quickly compared to some previous appointments which have been hanging in the air for ages.
