You should tell Vodafone that O2 are offering you that phone, with an Xbox360, 32inch LCD TV, all for £40 a month.

Tell them you like the service Vodafone provide and dont really want to leave them, but O2 offer is MILES better, and see what Vodafone offer up to keep your custom

but thats £400 to them, and if they offer you another 18month contract thats near on another £1000 again to them in your contract fees.

Its always worth a go I reckon.

My mother got Virgins version of Sky plus because she told them Sky are offering her a good deal, and was thinking of switching to Sky. So they upgraded her didgibox equipment for FREEEEEE

What is Vodafone like? I think I'm going to leave Orange at the end of this contract because they are a bunch of *****.

Which is the best phone company nowadays?

I personally have never had any problems with Vodafone, and have been with them for about 4 years now. Good coverage, I would never go with Orange too many bad reports. Possibly O2 ?

There must be a website that tells me who is best, I can't be bothered to do the research myself. o2 look like they have some decent deals.

I think O2 have the best coverage as they had to upgrade their system as they were the only netword to support the Iphone thing

I used to have a Vodafone contract but it is cheaper for me to go on PAYG, so I did that and my phone bill is £5 a week, with free texts and calls at weekends

but say if i had 8 months on my contract...

8 X 50 = £400

Would they let me pay them £400 and cancel said contract here and now ?

P.S. I really wanted to put the word, ERGO, into this reply...but couldnt find anywhereto fit it in...bad times.:(

If you're happy to give them the 400 now, why not just sign up to the new contract and stop using the old phone? You will still only pay them the 400 over 8 months.

As my mum used to tell me: `patience is a virtue and a little won't hurt you`.
Why don't you wait until your contract finishes? Chances are, with this recession digging ever deeper, in seven months time you'll get an even better deal on offer from O2.

My contract has another three months so I can WELL pull out the recession card when it's up for renewal. I still don't want to stay with Orange, mind.
