From Woodingdean to Falmer? Got an hour and a half to kill later and wouldn't mind a little walk to the stadium.

There is no footpath on the Drove. Leave your walk till about four pm and you can walk along the road. This is because the traffic builds up and the queue of cars goes back halfway to Falmer. :(

Of course it's possible, unless you're legless

*sets up puns*

IMHO there should be a decent footpath, doubling up as a cycle path, from Woodingdean to Falmer.

It only needs to be on one side of the road, and there is plenty of room.

They appear to have missed that bit in the transport info structure plan.

yep

Not only would it help serve the stadium, it would get the lemmings who choose to cycle on what is an hugely dangerous road in the dark off the highway and onto somewhere safe.

It would also provide a good link to and from the Lewes Road cycle path.

It would also provide walkers etc with another option of accessing the Downs

However, as this would provide a bit of joined up working between Brighton & Hove Council and East Sussex, clearly this is a non starter.

Still, rather than build a route will real potential and merit, our council will somehow manage to SPUNK all that money for cycling on some daft, pointless route in town. Another Grand Ave 'expressway' perhaps?
