Is it possible to remove numbers from the kit?

The numbers on my shirt are starting to get a bit ratty (well the 2 is, the 8 is fine, weird). Although the new ones out, I won't be getting it for a while, and theres still a number of events I'm going to where I want the stripes to be present

Does anyone know is there a way to remove the numbers or "fix" the cracking on them?

Amazingly, my name is fine, which means I may go for just "DUFFY" and no numbers next time. 28 no longer holds any signifigance to me really, unless I get an affinity to El-Abd (it was Barrett when I got the shirt)

the only solution I can think of is to place a cotton cloth over the numbers and press with a hot iron to get the numbers to re-stick.

Use with extreme caution though or else you'll be taking a lump out of the shirt. I don't think you can remove the numbers so that it looks decent. I remember seeing Easy 10 with a number missing (Easy Easy where's your one) and you could see a shadowy patch where it had been.

Try leaving overnight in a very weak solution of bleach and water (again using caution or you could end up with a totally white shirt)
