Any idea what these 2nd tiers would look like? I hope they're not similar to the 1901 tier in size.

Sorry I don't, I remember Martin Perry mentioned this at the discussion pre-initial season ticket purchase at the Amex. Also it was mentioned at the road show at the Ropetackle.

I'm sure the club have said in the past that the only real way to expand the ground further would be to remove the roof, expand the other stands to the height of the west stand and put a new roof in. It would be very expensive and therefore very unlikely to happen unless we were established in the Premier League and had a massive sustained demand for these extra seats (unlikely again)

It can be increased to probably 120k. However, that means demolishing the existing structure and building on the same footprint plus Bennetts field. Will of course need a benefactor to stump up the cost and fans to fill it. Other than that, apart from about 100 or so seats that could be squeezed in, structurally, it can't be increased but capacity could if you brought in standing areas. That opens up the kettle of fish that is planning and transport.

The roofs are all linked and supported by the arches so you can't remove one without affecting the rest of the stadium so the cost would be prohibitive.

Speaking to a very influential person from the Albion some time ago he said that the footings when put in were sufficient for a 2nd tier all round, whether or not that would be built is a differen question.

Signs to enter the north stand say "North Lower", or something like that. Read into that what you will.

Won't there be space behind the N Stand when staff in the offices there move to Lancing at some point later this year? Wouldn't massively increase the capacity but might add an odd 1-2 thousand without anything major structurally in terms of building works.

Man City are adding 14,000 seats in the summer I think.

But how many seats will Swansea be entitled to?

No, it can't.

There's no room anyway, but even if there was, capacity is also dictated by the number of exits/toilets etc per person, and dependent on transport links. 30k is more than enough if we were ever to get to the prem anyway.

They would say that but it wouldn't be hard to increase the north stand back into the office space, have toilets and exits directly from this space and relocate the offices elsewhere.

But how many seats will Swansea be entitled to?

I believe it's the square root of 10% of the official attendance, less the actual number of people there, multiplied by the number of pies sold, then finally divided by the number of tickets that Arsenal would get.

If they reduced the size of the pitch you could get a couple of thousand more in around the edges, kneeling down.
