I used to work with Tim Rice-Oxley, the pianist and songwriter from Keane. He was a devilishly nice chap. Really enthusiastic about his music and utterly sincere. The singer, who i had a couple of drinks with, didn't seem too bothered with me, so i took a dislike to him.

As a band, they are not my cup of tea, but they make mildly offensive inoffensive pop music. Not completely without imagination, which for me is the key ingredient.

You can never right off the entire work of a band (except boy bands!). I hate Queen with every bone in my body (yeah, that one as well!), and congratulate myself for not sabotaging the Queen thread earlier, however I have always found 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' to be annoyingly catchy.

We all have our dirty music moments Richie, but that's all part of life's rich pageant.

It's ok to like Keane or indeed any other band. Music is a personal preference and anyone is entitled to like any band they want. It's all about opinions. Whilst I can't stand Kasabian I can understand that some peole will like what they do.

The exception to the rule is that its not ok to like Robbie Williams at all he is a total C*nt and has no talent whatsoever. Thats not opinion thats FACT.

They are one of these bands that I've heard off but never heard anything from them until recently while working.

Must admit I liked one of their songs but after hearing it for about the tenth time I felt a Coldplayesque feeling of please no turn it off, another dreary british guitar type band that we seem to do so well and everyone raves about them until the next one comes along

Their name makes them sound like a Manc Indie type group to me as well.

Put the Christmas CD on instead!!!
