I have found myself in a moral quandry this week. As much as I hate bands like Coldplay and am prone to bouts of musical snobbery I have found myself quite fond (cant bring myself to use a word as strong as like) of a couple of songs by Keane.

What are everyone's thoughts on them?

I think the singer looks like a git and they are everything I hate about music but...well...I have not been skipping thier tracks on compilation albums like I used to.

Is there a cure for liking Keane?

Please help me.

I find them VERY dull, as I do all those coldplay copy type bands :)

Good I shall scratch the bit of the CD where their song appears.

I do have my own opinions but was questioning this particular one because I know I SHOULD have Keane.

I stand corrected and will be taking a week long dose of The Specials to correct my musical tastes.

Top Quality medicine,

consider yourself forgiven

if however symptom pesist I'd suggest something a little stronger . . . . .Ogdens Nut Gone Flake, or The Faces 4 CD Box set including all the BBC live sessions (awesome) :clap2:

abso-bloody-exactly

How do you go about choosing what music you listen to? Do you have some kind of music graph that charts cool to like against oooh it's become a bit popular I've changed my mind.

Fair enough if you just don't like it but any other reason for disliking an album is shite.

I saw a picture of the singer the other day for the first time, and he indeed looks like a ****. I think the album is excellent though.

Used to play Song of a Baker in my old band. Had the pleasure of playing it infront of an enthusiastic These Animal Men and a lad who was being taught to play drums by the old Small Faces drummer. He took a copy of our version to him and he liked it very much apparently. Big me up Scotty.

They are (allegedly) East Sussex boys so you've gotta big them up in that respect, not that any of their millions will ever see their way to the Albion me thinks. Must admit to having faced the same dilemma myself this week Richie basically triggered by the new single, and Hopes & Fears was winking at me as I passed it in HMV a few days back but I'll probably scoop a singed copy at some point. Coldplay are definately tedious wank but the jury remains out on Keane at this end.
