Is it me or do we as a club have a lot of geeky fans?

Always seems to be a lot of squabbling:catfight: and useless posts on this site, considering the amount of members?
As for seeing some fans at the games, fuking ell thats a different story

You have a problem with seeing certain fans at games? Christ.

I wish I was as cool as you. I bet you wear your cap back to front and skateboard and everything.

I like our geeks, it means we're a proper football club, not full of plastic wankers.. although obviously they'll come when we start doing well.

Well I can only infer that these "geeky fans" either sit with their laptops all game or bite the head off of live chickens as the only other defintion of a geek is : A derogatory reference to a person obsessed with intellectual pursuits for their own sake and I don't believe anyone can accuse WW or TCB of quoting too much from Shakepeare, John Milton Keynes or Stephen Hawking. :lolol:

Hmmm...I think of geek as a compliment. You know - geek chic and all that. I'd say that 'nerd' is the insulting term.

I'm unashamedly a music geek.

Geekiness is good.

From Wiki

Reclamation and self-identification

Although being described as a geek tends to be an insult, the term has recently become more complimentary, or even a badge of honor, within particular fields. This is particularly evident in the technical disciplines, where the term is now often a compliment, denoting extraordinary skill

When I left a job 11 years ago, one of the managers said he was sad to see me go as I was the only IT person he knew who wasn't a "nurk". Urban dictionary defines nurk as :

1.A small person with disruptive and irritating intent.

Which seems like the perfect word for MANY people!

On a recent survey i have conducted only 6.7% of a withdean saturday crowd are geeks, this rise to 7.1% for evening games, but looking at nsc members it rises to 18.4% For a full breakdown of geeks in english and scottish leagues please pm me for information.league of wales figures will be done before this saturday:thumbsup: I have figures for the last 12 seasons if anyone is interested:p

Not sure about Geeky but we do seem to have a fair few of moaners and people who I really don't think understand the game of football.

Sorry, bit random and potentially misguided... but were you at Plymouth the other night? I recall you posting in a thread saying that people had likened you to Lewis Hamilton in looks? I saw a guy who vaguely looked like him at the game, I was going to say something but, well, didn't! Not really sure how that conversation would go. "FDM'S gloves? Ninja Elephant here!".

:lolol: Nah, I really wanted to go but funds didn't let me

Probably how it'd go! I'd defineatly say hi or somthing...

I get called wallcott, with short hair, 've got longer hair than usual so the likeness isn't there but i don't think I look like walcott :p

Be brave.
